The Sky Sports PGA Tour channel rebrand delivers a sophisticated new identity, centred around a striking title sequence inspired by architectural blueprints. This concept brings golf to life through annotated course layouts, which build up like an architect's drawing, highlighting the precision and strategy inherent in the game.
As the sequence unfolds, the world's best players are sketched into the design, seamlessly blending artistry and athleticism. This unique approach captures the craftsmanship of golf while celebrating the sport's global icons, creating a visually compelling introduction that sets the tone for Sky Sports coverage of the PGA Tour.
Concept
Weeks were spent conceptualising the look and feel, meticulously artworking frames to show how the titles would unfold. We worked alongside an editor to select the perfect footage to complement the design and chosen audio.
Collaborating with Coffee & TV design studio, we modeled a custom golf club and crafted the sequence in After Effects, blending precision and creativity to bring our vision to life.
Broadcast Suite
We developed a new set of broadcast graphics inspired by the blueprint concept from the title sequence. These design elements were seamlessly integrated into stings, wipes, housestyle leaderboards, name straps, and scoring graphics, creating a cohesive on-air look.
Studio Set
As part of the new Sky Sports Golf channel rebrand, we unveiled a modern set featuring a state-of-the-art golf simulator screen and monitors to display stats and information during broadcasts. Incorporating sleek wood elements, the design balances a fresh, modern aesthetic with functionality, enhancing the presentation experience.
